Raj John

Hello , my name is Raj John, and am one of the Managers responsible for the Corporate Travel Management at Head office in Braybrooke Place, Colombo 2.

I started my career in the travel industry in 1985, and have worked in Sri Lanka and many parts of the Middle East and acquired an immense knowledge and experience in the Management of Business Travel during this period. Before becoming a member of the Management Team at Hemas Travels I worked as Manager, Business Travel Development, at Attar Travel , Saudi Arabia,.

I am an "International Travel Consultant" certified by The International Air Transport Association (IATA) with a Diploma in Marketing and in Management. I have also been involved in teaching and in training many staff, leading to international travel examinations.

We would focus our efforts to ensure we continue to give a truly quality and value added service to our customers.

Rajiv Guruswamy

Hi I am Rajiv Guruswamy working as one of the Corporate Travel Managers for Hemas Travels located at the Hemas House Braybrooke Place Colombo 02.

I started my career in the travel industry in 1989.I went through all area's connected to the trade & currently in this position as a Manager leading a dynamic corporate team which consistantly achieved our goals. The success behind our achievements were the commitment & dedication shown towards our customers in the area's of service & quality. I have also gained valuable experience by serving overseas as a Travel consultant in the UAE(Ras Al Khimah) at Gulf travel agency from 1991 to 1993 & in Canberra (Australia) at Travel centre Fyshwick from 1996 to 1998.During my career overseas I had the opportunity of meeting many customers from different walks of life which helped me to better myself in understanding in customer handling.

I am on course to complete the Executive Diploma in Business Management & Administration of the University of Colombo .Currently I am the project champion for the comprehensive 'service quality focus ' program we have embarked upon. .

I have also captained the Hemas group cricket team in Mercantile cricket tournaments out door & indoor which has in many occasions won the championship trophy. I am also a member of the cricket team which represents Sri Lanka in travel trade tournaments overseas.

Whilst our state of the art office is rated as one of the best in the business , this is equally matched by our service commitment and delivery.

Rapti Dirckze

Hi I am Rapti Dirckze, the Manager Operations for Hemas Travels located at Hemas House Baybrooke Place Colombo-2. As Manager Operations , in addition to the Corporate and Leisure travel clientele, I overlook the Ticket Office and the administration as well.

I began my career in the Travel Trade way back in 1982 . Since then I have served the National carrier ''Air Lanka'' from where I moved into the management team a leading travel agency, as Assistant Manager, where I earned the ''The salesperson of the year'' award in 199x. I later moved to Cathay Pacific Airways in the capacity of Ticket Office Manager and represented Cathay Pacific Colombo at there annual conferences overseas. I ventured again into travel agency management , before joining Hemas Travels in 2003.

The years of experience working for both airlines and travel agencies has helped me to understand a broader view of excellence in travel service delivery to customers.
During my tenure in the Travel Trade I have undergone professional training in Fares, Tariff and Ticketing and obtained Honours passes in the Basic, Intermediate and Higher Intermediate examinations conducted locally and overseas. I am airline certified to conduct seminars and train on Fares and Ticketing, and product updates

Jackie Weeraratne

Hi I am Jackie Weeraratne, currently, I head the outbound leisure division at Hemas Travels which is better known by the brand “Prime Destinations”, situated at, Hemas House, Braybrooke Place, Colombo

I joined Hemas Travels as a Trainee Ticketing Agent way back in 1986 ! Since then, I have moved up over the years and have achieved a place as a member of the management team.

I have successfully completing a course on Fares & Ticketing sponsored by Sri Lankan Airlines. and have participated in focused airline skills development initiatives.

I have also presented Prime Destination at regular global travel marts in UK , China , Hong Kong and have focused visits to the destinations which are popular with our customers.

Our goal is to ensure that Prime Destinations would be the preferred outbound leisure brand in Sri Lanka

Angie Gomesz

Hello, my name is Angie Gomesz , and I head one of the Corporate Travel team of Hemas Travels, which is situated at 5th Floor, Hemas House No 75, Braybrooke Place, Colombo 02. In addition to the corporate clientele, I am involved in handling many NGO’s for many years .

After completing my Ordinary Level examination, I joined the travel trade in 1982 as a Ticketing Officer and joined Hemas Travels way back in 1984! Since then, I have earned by career progression to my present position as Manager of Hemas Travel

Continuing from my student activities as the School Games Captain, I have Represented the Hemas Group In Netball in the Travel Trade Netball tournament , where we achieved the position of runners up in 2001 & 2002.

We are well focused to give superior value added customer service, and to our clientele.

Ranjith Fernando

Hello, I am Ranjith Fernando and as Assistant General Manager ,responsible for the Hemas Travels Fort branch office. This office was opened in October 2000 in the city center , at Hemas Building , York Street , Colombo 1.

I began my carrier in the travel and tourism industry in 1980 in the capacity of a Travel Assistant at Lot Polish Airlines in Colombo. Thereafter I joined Hemas Travel in 1983, and later took charge of the Ticket Office of Hemas Travels. In 1987 I was given the challenge for sales promotion , and after a successful completion was promoted to Assistant Sales Manager and now a member of the management team at Hemas Travels

Our specialty, in addition to dealing with VFR, corporate and leisure customers , is in the niche area of Group Travel for both Incentives and Sports Groups. With this competency we had the privilege of handling some of the most prestigious sports groups in Sri Lanka, ranging from the Commonwealth , Asian and SARF games to the Olympic Games.

Was elected as the Captain for Hemas Group at the Mercantile Cricket Tournament in 1985, and represented the team for six years. Also was a team member of Hemas at the Mercantile and Travel Trade Rugby tournaments.
